Cathedral
2020
Reflecting on my travels of yesteryear, I was shocked to find that my brain had already deconstructed the European cathedrals and hauled them out to a backwater in my long-term memory. Pieces were naturally lost in the move, as well as the blueprints to re-erect these sacred spaces. Partially forgotten and cobbled together by my faulty recollections, the cathedrals are now best represented by semi-abstract illustrations. This is the first in a series of memory designs, and is currently on loan to Raymond Carver’s short story collection, Cathedral, for a pictorially stamped binding.
